EARTHWORKS
The Directors of YBL Nick and Hoss spent a combined 18 years working earthmoving equipment prior to starting their own business in 1986. Their experience includes large scale construction like the upper Waitaki hydro scheme, local body sewage schemes, Farmer Co-op Irrigation Schemes, forestry clearing, farm track construction, drainage, stop bank construction, river protection, borderdyke construction, water reticulation and storage systems, large & small scale land use conversions. Growing up on a 200ha borderdyke farm gives them special insight to their current and future clients requirements.

 

The fleet consists of 4 6x4 Tip trucks 2 Tipulators, a 530 Dresser loader with 2.5m3 toothed or general purpose buckets, log grapple and on board scales.
This machine can both be kitted out with dual wheels and 3.5 wide U blades for light dozing work, cleaning scrub and levelling land. Weight 15 Ton, HP 165.




PW100 Komatsu excavator carries out the digging duties being wheel mounted and fitted with a thumb makes this a very versatile unit able to operate as a stand alone unit or as an ancillary back up on larger jobs. Weight 10 Ton, HP 96.

 

Finish grading and shaping is acheiveded with the JD772A Motor Grader. This machine is unique being 6WD, pivot steer, with a dozer blade and rear rippers puts its capabilities beyond most others. A modification to this machine is the addition of 19.5 x 24 special flotation wheels and tyres further enhancing its already formidable performance. Weight 18 Ton, HP 150.


Motor Scrapers, 2 Wabco 101F 8m3 elevating scrapers. These light weight machines are ideally suited to all types of top soil, gravel and sand moving operations. Both are equipped with laser receivers for precision levelling for all types of construction with 20 HP per ton of unladen weight and lock up transmissions, these machines deliver a big punch in a small package. Weight 11 Ton, HP 210.

2 Wabco 222g 17m3 elevating scrapers, these are the heavy weights of the scraper fleet, big capacity and fast cycle times make these machines ideal for larger jobs.

The most recent addition to the fleet is a Wabco 333ft motor scraper, this machine features 2 500hp v12 engines, and 36 cubic yard capacity. It is planned to have this machine ready for work in the spring of 2011.

Compaction is provided by a Komatsu WF450T compactor it is idealy suited for managing the fill for the 222g scrapers.

In addition is the Pacific V24 towed vibrating roller where even more consolidation is required 

 

PIPE LAYING
YBL provide pipe laying services as a complete job from delivery to the job site, to hooking up to your troughs, or as a machine to place pipe in the ground or as an attachment for your tractor. The pipe layer is compact and light weight and easily lifted on to a ute with a farm loader. It also features a 100mm chute so up to 50mm hose can be laid with joints assembled, a removable rear panel is fitted to facilitate hassle and joint free negotiations of waterways, shelter belts and obstructions the tractor cannot pass.
YBL's PW100 excavator is also available with a 200mm wide trenching bucket.
The grader also provides a fast economical means of trenching for all types of agricultural reticulation schemes.
