CARTAGE
YBL provide specifically selected and modified equipment for bulk transport needs for the rural sector.

Silage cartage is carried out by a fleet of 4 ā€˜D’ series 6x4 tipping Fords, 3 tractor units, and semi trailers.
Yeatmans have used D series since 1977, they have amassed a wealth of parts and knowledge of these vehicles. All are 6x4 tipping configuration equipped with under body hoists and 30m3 bins.
Many people ask why a D series? They were plentiful allowing a ready source of cheap second hand and new parts. Cummins engines and Eaton drive trains with Alison Transmissions were industry standard units which are easily and economically serviced.
The ā€˜D’ series 2418 was designed as an off road tipper chassis, this equipped with under body hoist is a very durable trouble free configuration. Above all advantages they are easy handled by inexperienced operators with excellent visibility and manoeuvrability for tight on-farm situations. All
Fords convert to gravel trucks for site work and general tip truck hire during the off season.

Efficiency through compatiabilty

Efficiency through technology

Efficiently through innovation

MC Macks are YBL's prime movers. Once again they were selected for high visibility and maneuverability. All are Mack powered with Mack gearboxes and bogies. These versatile units are suitable for long haul bulk haulage in B-train configuration for woodchip deliveries up to 80m3 or as a transporter or hauling rock or gravel.

A major innovation is the use of Semi trailers, they have major advantages over truck and trailer units, these include easier handling, better maneuverability, superior traction in soft conditions + faster turn around at the pit all combine to make them more efficient than other methods.
Other innovations adopted by YBL include exclusive systems to open and close all silage bin doors from the cab. Alison Automatic transmissions increasing availability, shortening turn around time, minimising driver fatigue and increasing reliability.

Due to YBL's increased efficiency these benefits add value by reducing the cost to our customers!
